With this in mind, Lovehoney decided to find out which songs are the most popular for setting a sexy mood by searching Spotify’s steamiest playlists and finding which saucy songs appear most often. The list includes timeless classics and contemporary hits, ensuring there’s something for everyone.“Music can play an important role in enhancing intimacy and creating an ideal atmosphere for sexual experiences. Music has a profound ability to influence our emotions and mood, making it a powerful tool in the bedroom,” said Lovehoney Sex and Relationship Expert, Christine Rafe. “The right playlist can help people relax, connect, and get in sync with each other. It sets the stage for a sensual experience by stimulating the senses and amplifying feelings of pleasure.” To determine the ultimate sex playlist, 1,306 songs were analysed across Spotify’s top 20 playlists that include the words ‘sex’ or ‘sexy’ and from there, the songs were analysed using Spotify’s API tool which offers data like BPM for each song. Across the original 1,306 songs, the average BPM was 115.8, which is around the same speed as Ariana Grande’s ‘Dangerous Woman’, as well as Rihanna’s, ‘Woo’

The list of the sexiest songs is characterised by a variety of tempos. Across the 1,306 songs analysed the average tempo predominantly centred around the 114-118 BPM range, which is generally conducive to a relaxed and sensual atmosphere.
