Coles has cut the price of its popular Own Brand 1kg cheese blocks today, providing great value to customers on a household staple and helping Australians stretch their weekly budget. Joining Coles’ Down Down range of price cuts, the Coles Australian Colby Cheese 1kg, Coles Australian Tasty Cheddar 1kg and Coles Australian Light Tasty Cheddar 1kg cheese blocks are down to $9.50 from $13.90 – lowered in price by $4.40 per cheese block. From tasty toasties to taco Tuesdays, the block of cheese is an essential in Aussie fridges withmore than four million kilograms of Coles Own Brand cheese blocks sold every year. The humble but mighty block also topped the charts with more than 40% of Coles customers preferring to buy a block of cheese over slices (27%) or shredded (25%) as revealed in a recent survey by Coles. While one in three Australians choose toasties as their favourite way of eating cheese, shoppers rated ‘Australian-made dairy products’ as their top priority in the cold section of the supermarket, with the Coles Own Brand cheese locally made in Cobram, Victoria by Saputo Dairy Australia.

Our Own Brand cheese comes from Australian dairy farmers who we work with directly to ensure we can provide customers with great quality and value cheese.” Coles currently has more than 500 products on Down Down pricing, including more than 200 popular products across meat, bakery, vegetables, pantry, dairy, frozen and cleaning. The Down Down pricing on 1kg Coles Own Brand Australian cheese blocks is available from 31 July 2024 for a period of 12 weeks.
