i went into this one failing to realise that it was loosely based on a TV series from the 80’s that ran for 5 seasons and starred Lee Majors. The Fall Guy is one of those movies where I have a feeling that I should have watched this one at the Cinema. I know in the past I’ve mentioned that I might not be the biggest fan of HD movies but I could see that a 3D session (no I don’t know if there was any 3D sessions for The Fall Guy at my friendly neighbourhood cinema) would have made for a good night out at the movies, even with how lacking other 3D movies have been in the past. David Leitch, I think I’m starting to become more of a fan of his work, his movies always seem to be fun, something that seems to be overlooked by other filmmakers these days who gotten it into their head that politics and preaching to the audience is more important than entertaining them with a good story.

Ryan Gosling was an interesting choice for the role of Colt Seavers, even though yes Gosling has done action roles in the past, he isn’t somebody I’d readily associate with action roles. I was a little disappointed that Gosling wasn’t given the opportunity to also play the Tom Ryder role that was played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson but that might of come across as being a little too Looney Tunes: Back in Action. I loved how action sequence involving the skip on the back of the rubbish truck and how it fit into the overall story. Emily Blunt and Ryan Gosling brilliantly off of each other, i loved the soundtrack and I particularly enjoyed Blunt’s rendition of Against all Odds (Take a Look at Me Now).
