National Year of Reading 2012 competition

Canberrans are encouraged to share their story about Adult learning as a part of a National Year of Reading 2012 competition celebrating Adult Learners’ Week for a chance to win a share of $30,000.
“True stories as well as fiction pieces are eligible, with a special category for those who are new to writing. Entries are welcomed from published writers, emerging writers, as well as from people who have their own ‘learning to read’ story to tell,” said Vanessa Little, Director, Libraries ACT.

Stories must be 3000 words or less and entered online here love2read by Monday August 6th
Winners will be announced August 25th.
