Screen Australia has announced a second season of the ABC series Redfern Now.
The second season of Redfern Now centres on contemporary inner-city Indigenous life and will once again, in six stand-alone episodes.
It has been announced that writers from the first season Steven McGregor, Adrian Wills and Jon Bell will be joined by writers Wayne Blair and Leah Purcell.
“Redfern Now is one of several partnerships between ABC TV and Screen Australia’s Indigenous Department and I’m very proud of the work we’re achieving together,” said Screen Australia’s Chief Executive Ruth Harley. “This is compelling television drama at its very best, showcasing extraordinary talent both in front of and behind the camera.” Harley added
It should be noted that series 2 is expected to start production in mid-April 2013.
