Blair, a fighter pilot, joins an interstellar war to fight the evil Kilrathi who are trying to destroy the universe.
Wing Commander is not a magnificent movie. At best, an average movie falls under the cloud of being adapted from a video game franchise from the 90’s. For the record I may have played one of the games in the franchise once or twice. However, I am not overly with the entire plot of the video game franchise. Fans of the game franchise will probably hate this movie because as I am lead to believe that the plot of the movie was loosely based on the plot of the games.I would have like to have seen that the pilgrims and the racist attitudes towards where more thoroughly explored.
However, what I found to be really impressive about Wing Commander was the grandiose spirit that it had which is all to evident with the soundtrack’s opening overture, sadly the movie did not live up to this.
