Canberrans to use Fix my Street

Canberrans are able to contact the ACT Government via their smart phones and upload location data and photos to the popular ‘Fix My Street’ service, thanks to a new mobile interface for the Canberra Connect website.
“By enhancing mobile access to the Canberra Connect website and Fix My Street service, people will be able to provide online feedback to the government and immediately report neighbourhood issues such as a pothole or broken footpath as they find them.” Minister for Territory and Municipal Services, Shane Rattenbury,
Mr. Rattenbury added “People might also choose to utilise their device’s inbuilt GPS capabilities to ‘geo-tag’ their location as they submit their feedback, which can assist work crews to locate issues reported quickly and efficiently.
Mr. Rattenbury explained that the Fix My Street service enables the ACT Government to better track and improve responsiveness to the local issues that affect Canberrans and the liveability of their neighbourhood. Over the last year, the Fix My Street service has received more than 8,000 reports from the community.
