A courier for a local crime lord must deliver a mysterious package while being chased by a horde of unusual gangsters.

On the face of it The Package is very much the type of movie that you would watch with your buddies on a Friday night while drinking beer, though if you take the time to consider your Friday night entertainment you would easily be able to find better movies, especially considering this was a crime movie that needed more of a metropolitan feel.
I still have not watched a movie directed by Jesse V. Johnson that I am actually impressed with (for those of you keeping track at home this is the guy who directed Green Street Hooligans 2).
There was an attempt to establish Steve Austin’s character as something more than just a slab of beef that might have been successful but a slab of beef like Austin is severely limited when it comes to originality in action sequences.
Austin may have been a top tier wrestler in his days in the WWE but it is going to take an amazing movie for him to be anything more than a mid-level action star.
