An extraterrestrial race forced to live in slum-like conditions on Earth suddenly finds a kindred spirit in a government agent who is exposed to their biotechnology.
Yes, I watched this one because Neil Blomkamp also directed the recently released Elysium, which also stared Sharlto Copley.
Bloomkamp is proving to be a rather talented and I really enjoyed how it switched between a documentary and narrative story telling style and what is really great is that he actually has something to say with his movies considering that District 9 childhood in South Africa during apartheid.
I loved Copley’s performance in what was his first role in a feature movie. He has actually gone to prove to be a very versatile actor and it is kind of interesting that supposedly he had no intention of pursuing an acting career and kind of stumbled into acting.
