A medical engineer and an astronaut work together to survive after an accident leaves them adrift in space.
Okay, I did not catch this one at any of the local cinemas. I probably should have, I needed the biggest screen possible to watch this one. Now I am going to take a quick moment for those of you out there who know me personally. Take a moment to think of a joke as to why I did not go to the cinema to watch this one. Got it? Good, now back to the review.
Now despite their talent as actors this movie really isn’t about George Clooney and Sandra Bullock’s performances. Part of me would have liked to have seen a few flashbacks used to help flesh out their characters, yet that might have taken away from the tension of the situation. Even though in space yes everything floats because of the absence of gravity, I was actually kind of impressed how the different materials behaved in zero gravity.
You might be interested by the fact that Buzz Aldrin wrote a review for Gravity for The Hollywood Reporter and said that he was impressed by the portrayal of the reality of zero gravity.
