When Blu, a domesticated macaw from small-town Minnesota, meets the fiercely independent Jewel, he takes off on an adventure to Rio de Janeiro with this bird of his dreams.

Yes, it’s true I have sat through yet another kids animation movie. Ultimately Rio is a very sweet and heart warming kind of movie about finding your true self and the courage to spread your wings. There is something for everybody in this movie some very colorful birds, a great romantic story and some excellent singing and dancing. Actor Jessie Eisenberg was brilliant and brought that sense of awkwardness that he is so well known for to his character Blu. All though with the voice performance, Tracey Morgan gave as the Pit-bull Luiz.
