During World War II, mathematician Alan Turing tries to crack the enigma code with help from fellow mathematicians.

We all know that at times that I’m lazy when keeping up with what I have to watch at the local cinema and I missed the opening day for this one, so I’m sorry for letting to go so long till I got around to getting out to see The Imitation Game. It should be noted that I was motivated to get my act together and watch this one at the local cinema after hearing good things about it from my dear Aunt. I do believe that she is right and that there will probably be a best acting nomination in it for Benedict Cumberbatch (I loved Cumberbatch’s voice over at the beginning of the movie, it really sucks you into the movie), but I also believe that there might be a best actress nomination in it for Keira Knightley to. I’m completely unfamiliar with the work of director of Morten Tyldum, who managed to deliver a really balanced and riveting movie. Considering that there was a real risk of this becoming too dark.
I’m familiar enough with the story of what happened at Bletchley Park past the fact that they broke the Nazi’s Enigma code there but I would like to think that the breaking of the Enigma code was the kind of story where they got it right and didn’t end up sacrificing some of the truth for the sake of a good story. Some of the truth might have been sacrificed but I don’t believe that it affected the quality of the story.
