When he is betrayed by a trusted friend, Mathayus must marshal all his strength and cunning to outwit a formidable opponent who will stop at nothing to unlock a supreme ancient power.

Personally I find it to be rather telling as to the quality of the movie that you’re watching when the publicity shot for the lead actress used on the IMDB page for the movie is cropped in such a way that the only distinguishable feature of said actress is her gluteus maximus in a cocktail dress. As gluteus maximus’ go it is indeed a fetching though Ms Hollman no matter how hard you might have tried your involvement in this film will still be noted. Nothing else can really be said about any of the other actors involved with this except Victor Webster, who for some reason reminded me of Billy Zane.
The original title for this movie was The Scorpian King: The Lost Throne though somehow I think The Scorpian King: The Quest for More Cash would have been more apt title considering that little or no thought went into the quality of the overall production. I could try and compare this to the other movies in the Scorpion King “Franchise” but in all honesty a student fresh out of film school could have made a better attempt at directing this then alleged “director” Mike Elliot. Mr Elliot I know that it is awfully easy to be a critic and an armchair director but I do have a word of advice for the next time that studio executives are foolish enough to let you direct another movie. Don’t. At the moment I would rather watch a Uwe Boll movie then another movie directed by you. With costumes that where clearly inspired by the television series Hercules: The Legendary journeys and Xena: The Warrior, questionable effects, woeful acting and forgettable fight scenes that I hope for the sake of the stunt performers careers will be left off of their show reels. I was left wondering why did I actually exchanged legitimate currency for the hire of this DVD from the friendly neighborhood DVD Store.
