A modern-day assassin, wanting out, is hired for one final job – to kidnap the kids of a local businessman. Things go haywire when it turns out he’s chosen to return to the Middle Ages and bring back order to a kingdom in chaos.

Okay yes this is a movie directed by Uwe Boll and as such it should be vitriol that a movie that he has directed deserves, especially considering that this what I regard to be a non-sequel sequel (The non-sequel sequel is a movie in a franchise that has no references to the stories of the movies that went before it). In other movies that I have reviewed directed I have suggested that Boll should be considered as a miss and hit director. Of the total 32 movies that he has directed and taking into consideration that I have not seen every single movie that he has directed, I feel that there are only 3 of his movies that I have actually seen that I would defend as being actually worth watching. In the Name of the King 3 is not one of those movies. The main problem with this movie was for it to be a fantasy movie that was actually worth watching it needed to be at least half an hour longer than it actually was. The whole movie was felt as if it was rushed and it lacked what was needed to deliver a fully satisfying ending, and considering the track record of the franchise so far there is little to no chance that anything will paid off in a potential follow up movie. There were no real standout performances and I have wonder if there was any effort made by Boll to get any decent performances from his actors.
