Batman works desperately to find a bomb planted by the Joker while Amanda Waller hires her newly formed Suicide Squad to break into Arkham Asylum to recover vital information stolen by the Riddler.
I suppose in a lot of ways this can be considered as the Entrée before the main course 2016 release of the Suicide Squad movie. A small part of me cannot help but wonder how similar the plot of the future release will be to that of Assault on Arkham, I suppose time will tell on that one. A small word of advice to parents of younger fans of Batman there might be one or two scenes that are probably not suitable for younger fans and the movie does get a little dark in places (especially if you take the time to analyse the relationship between Harley Quinn and The Joker) so should these younger fans try and pester you to buy or hire this from your local DVD store a little discretion might be needed, because it seems that the ratings classification system works and doesn’t work all in the same breath. A small aside to fans of DC animated movies although The Joker is featured Assault on Arkham his voice was provided by Troy Baker and not Mark Hamill (for the record Hamill is regarded as being one of the best actors to have provided The Joker’s voice). Apart from the minor complaint about the fact that The Joker wasn’t voiced by Mark Hamill (though yes its true other actors should be used so the character doesn’t go stale) Assault on Arkham is something that is definitely worth watching.
