David Lord finds himself forced into the savage world of a modern gladiatorial arena, where men fight to the death for the entertainment of the online masses.
Arena the very real risk of being nothing more than a big dumb action movie, on the face of it all this movie could have really been was an extreme mixed martial arts blood splatter fest. I am glad to say that Arena had the guts to rise above its station and prove that it was something more then it appears to be on face value. Arena achieved this by asking one simple question, how far has humanity evolved from Roman Gladiatorial games? With the popularity of boxing, mixed martial arts and professional wrestling I would hazard a guess in saying that it appears that as much as we would like to have, humanity has not progress that far at all.
Samuel L. Jackson gave a brilliant seemingly effortless performance sinister yet charismatic maniac. Unlike some of his other Twilight male alumni who have been recently reviewed by this website, Kellan Lutz has the look and potential to be a major Action star.
