Vampire death dealer, Selene fights to end the eternal war between the Lycan clan and the Vampire faction that betrayed her.
For going into this one no I did not do my homework and rewatch any of the previous movies from the franchise and yes, I am kind of glad that I waited until this was released for DVD and digital download. Granted I have watched some truly awful movies for the movie boards but I would like to think that sometimes even I have my cinematic limits. I will admit is the concept of the character of Selene is very good but the Underworld franchise seems to be dying. And the filmmakers seem to be flogging it like a dead horse. This really did not hit any emotional high points in fact the whole movie seemed to be flat and only seemed to successfully ignore an important plot point of the previous movie. As a feature film debut for director Anna Foerster Underworld: Blood Wars was not the way to go. Looking at Forester’s credits she would have been more qualified to direct a crime movie then an action horror movie.
