In Time

Staring Justin Timberlake, Amanda Seyfried and Cillian Murphy

Score 5/6

In a future where people stop aging at 25, but are engineered to live only one more year, having the means to buy your way out of the situation is a shot at immortal youth. Here, Will Salas finds himself accused of murder and on the run with a hostage – a connection that becomes an important part of the way against the system.

Accomplished writer & director Andrew McNiccol really created something brilliant. He seemed to effortlessly combine elements of the Bonnie & Clyde story as well as the Robin Hood Legend. Despite what could be described as somewhat of a understated beginning I found that McNiccol seemed to take his movie on what could only be labelled the ‘high road’. I believe that In Time could have easily degenerated into a savage and bloody revenge flick.
Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried both gave brilliant performances. Over the past couple of movies that I have seen her in I have found myself seeing Amanda Seyfried in a completely different light as an actress.
